DNAssist is a useful resource tool to display, edit and analyze DNA samples. This program is intuitively designed to look like a Winodws word processor application where you can copy, paste, cut, drag and drop and open several editor windows simultaneously.
DNAssist is also capable of changing the font size, type and line length to suit the users' needs. This program has shortcut buttons, quick context-sensitive popup menus upon mouse clicks and other features for work efficiency.
Some of the analyses available on this software include conversion of DNA sequence between circular and linear forms, DNA to RNA protein sequence conversion and vice versa, DNA sequence translation to amino acid sequence in one, three and six frames, locating specific sequence patterns in a sequence, locating strong nucleosome positioning signals in DNA, RNA, protein alignment, pl, hydrophilic, hydrophobic or antigeneic calculation of protein and more.
